Fun Facts About Greighlan

  • Our two-headed dragon logo symbolizes the two founders of Greighlan Crossing Pipe Band, Graham Davidson and Len Leroux.

  • In the early days of the band, members wore their personal kilts until enough funds were raised to purchase a bolt of fabric for the kilts we proudly wear today—the Weathered Sutherland tartan.

  • The band’s mascot is a crocheted dragon named "Greg Land," a playful nod to the frequent mispronunciation of our band’s name.

  • In 2010, the band had the opportunity to travel to China, performing at various music festivals and even on the iconic Great Wall.

  • After a long hiatus from international travel, we returned to the global stage last year, competing at the prestigious World Pipe Band Championship in Glasgow, Scotland.
