Greighlan Crossing, 2nd overall, best Drum Corps at the 161st Victoria Highland Games

This past May long weekend, the 161st annual Victoria Highland Games were held in Victoria, BC. This marked the band’s first outdoor competition of the 2024 season and it was a successful outing for all. Greighlan Crossing placed 2nd overall and won best drum corps in the Grade 3 contests, with the Medley event a tie broken on ensemble preference. The weather was somewhat uncooperative but it was an excellent test of the band’s fortitude in decidedly Scottish conditions.

The games itself was, as always, a spectacular event and we very much enjoyed our weekend on the island.

Thanks to all the spectators and attendees at the games! And a big thanks to the organizers for putting on an excellent event once again! Come and see the band at our next big performance, the Bellingham Highland Games, in Blaine WA, Saturday June 1st 2024. And for photos and videos of this and other past events, see our media galleries.
